人的可教育性:即人具有接受教育的天赋素质和潜在能力。人之所以具有可塑性,主要在于人具有可塑性,而人的可塑性表现为人的感觉器官和心理机能是“未特定化”的。正是这种“未特定化”,为人通过教育而获得发展敞开了无限多样的可能性。9 h k; c, O& v( X( W% I, a1 r
人的“未特定化”,使他能适应环境,使他不受特定的生活环境的限制,使他为了生存也无须改变自己的生物本性、生物结构,而只需变化自己的外在生活方式、生存环境。
2 T$ x# f* [( q( S+ | J人的“未特定化”是人的可塑性的前提,而可塑性又是人的可教育性的前提。现代科学研究对人类潜能的揭示,为人类的可教育性展示了广阔前景。当然,人的可教育性也是有一定限度的。人的可教育性,既区别于遗传决定论(或生物预成论),也区别于教育万能论。
* ~8 J( J2 c' N2 `人对教育的需要性:人不仅具有可教育性,而且有对教育的需要性,这是因为人是“合群的动物”,作为个体的人只有在社会中才能生存。个体获得生存能力需要教育,要成为一个社会认可的人,更需要教育。人具有十分丰富的潜能,开发人的潜能也离不开教育。
& o% C. G. k& t这从另一个角度证明了人对教育的需要性。不仅人类个体需要教育,人类社会亦需要教育,以维系它的延续与发展。人类社会区别于动物界的根本之处就在于人类拥有文化,文化是人类本质力量的确证与表征,是人类心身能力的延伸。教育使得文化的保存、延续、发展和丰富成为可能。
